This was the best experience we have ever had with any work done in our home. Right from the initial call Steve followed up right away and came prepared for the estimate. Not only was his estimate reasonable but he showed such care in examining the rooms and listening to our concerns, that there was no question we were going to go with him. Steve and his team were great from start to finish. Steve was helpful in the estimation process in terms of discussing the plan and what we wanted to do and could afford to do. This included textured walls, days and days of spackling, even grinding of some walls to remove previous paint. All in all, they did a wonderful job and the house looked great!

Very positive experience with Steve. He is very easy to work with, very personable and exceedingly polite. I got estimates from three Angies List providers. He wasn't the cheapest but we felt most comfortable with him. Steve gave us the color palette book to decide on colors. After selection I used masking tape to indicate what colors on what walls. The work was done well and exactly on target. Steve called every day to tell me what was accomplished and what they'd be doing the next day. Steve also went above and beyond a couple of times. We changed our mind on the color of one room and he happily redid the room. The second story is even better. Right after the painting was to be done I had asked our flooring contractor to install floors upstairs. They had asked us to make sure floors were clean before the wood was installed. On his last day of work I called Steve to let him know I'd be coming over to the house to vacuum the floors and would he mind waiting. As I drove up to the house I see Steve actually vacuuming the floor while he was waiting. Instead of just sitting around he actually decided to help me out and start on the work. He obviously didn't have to, but it shows his personality and helpfulness. If/when we decide to repaint we'll definitely be getting Steve back.

Steve was able to immediately respond to my request by visiting my home the same day and provided a written estimate which was emailed to me shortly after. Steve confirmed the start date and he and his crew were at my home bright and early every day. They worked till 5-6 pm each night and was able to accomplish an amazing amount of work in a short time. Steve and his crew painted the interior of my home which included: living room, dining room, stairs and hallway, 2 bathrooms and master bedroom. As part of the service they spackled, sanded and primed the walls and stairs and fixed all the imperfections. They were efficient and precise.

I am a professional interior designer and have met many painters and seen many paint jobs. Steve and his team were among the best that I have seen. Steve is very professional, thorough and he extended himself beyond the call of duty and our agreed scope on a number of occasions. His team of two painters did not change over the whole job and took great pride in their work. The results are outstanding - our walls needed lots of preparation and you would have never believed they would end up so smooth! I invited 3 painters from Angie's list to give an estimate for our job. Steve made a point of spending the time at our house required to understand the scope thoroughly and to give a quotation. The job was involved and sizeable. His estimate did not change and when it did it was because I added to the scope or we encountered greater difficulty with wallpaper removal than expected. Steve's price was the highest but I had the greatest confidence in his ability to do the job well and I knew that the other two prices were going to increase once detailed scope was understood. Steve was also the only painter who considered how we would live in the house while his team was working. He suggested we complete 2 rooms at a time so we could use them immediately after and limit the mess at any one time. This was definitely a better approach than removing the wallpaper throughout first, which probably would have been easier for his team. We still have more painting work to do at our house and I will not hesitate to have Steve and his team back. They are a pleasure to work with. 11 out of 10!

Steve's estimate was thorough and left no questions as to what would or would not be done in the job. He seemed like he and his crew had a very keen eye for detail. He told me that he would not be the cheapest estimate I would receive, and I greatly appreciated his candor. I would not expect the highest quality to come at the cheapest price, and Steve and his crew did not disappoint when it came to quality. He has had the same crew for many years, and with that comes a level of experience and efficiency you will not find in a company that has a revolving door policy with its labor. Another factor in deciding to go with Landis Painting was that they are only on one job at a time, meaning once they show up, they will leave until they finish the job, no setting up a new job, or finishing another. On the first day of the job we asked Steve if we could add one more room to the job, he did the estimate that day, extended the timeline by a day, and that was that. The job began on a Monday, and was finished on Wednesday. Wednesday evening Steve called me to see if i was satisfied with the job (which I was) but also pointed out to me that in the additional room, HE was not entirely pleased with the coverage the two coats of paint provided (we had done a very pale peach color over a very vibrant blue, and hints of the blue were still visible). We decided to give it a day and see how it looked in direct sunlight. We came to the conclusion that we did indeed want a third coat. Steve personally came over as soon as he was able to, and did the third coat for little more than the cost of the paint. It was an absolute pleasure working with Steve and his crew. I would certainly recommend him to others, and plan on using Landis Painting in the future.

Steve came to give me an estimate in painting the exterior of my home. I pointed out the wood rot, peeling issues and blemisthes in the cedar siding all which Steve assured me he would fix. Well he kept his word and my home looks marvelous. The painters came early Monday morning and power washed my home. They scrapped, sanded, filled in and repaied all the damaged areas. They primed and painted my home to perfection. Seriously, I have had my house painted twice before and never have any of the previous painters prepped my house so well. It went very well... they were late starting the project - though I understand it's difficult to schedule outdoor work when dealing with the forecast... Once here they were efficient and professional and, most importantly, they did a great job. I like to paint and do a lot of it, but because of the heights involved in working outside, I was not able to do it myself. They were able to get all of the trim, even on the "inside" (above our steep roof line) of the chimney. They sanded all of the trim prior to painting and calked and filled where needed. I feel very confident that what they've done will stand up well to the elements for the next few years at least!

Steve Landis is very conscientious and will let you know exactly when and what and where... I would recommend he and his team to anyone. Actually, I plan on having them paint our two story foyer and family room very soon.

They initially walked the entire house determining all work required. Power washed housed in preparation of painting. Owner was carefully checking the works daily progress. This process was suplicated to jobs end. At that point any missed area was revisited and completed. End result was a well painted house. The crew cleaned up each day and at jobs end. We have used Landis Painting twice in the last three years. In 2012, Steve and his crew painted the entire inside of our house and it still looks great. When we needed the outside of our home painted this summer we immediately turned to Steve and his team.
